Atmospheric Pressure

The pressure caused by the weight of the atmosphere
Real World Example
Imagine you're carrying a heavy backpack on your shoulders, and as you walk, you feel the weight pressing down on you. This is similar to how atmospheric pressure works, as the air above us acts like a giant backpack, pressing down on everything at the Earth's surface. Just as the weight of the backpack creates pressure on your shoulders, the weight of the atmosphere exerts pressure on us and everything around us due to the gravitational pull on the air molecules.
