Imagine trying to push a heavy box across the floor with just one finger. This is similar to the concept of pressure because, like the force you apply, pressure is all about how much force is applied over a specific area. In this analogy, your finger is the force (measured in newtons), and the surface area of your fingertip is like the square meter in a pascal; the smaller the area, the more pressure you exert on the box, just as one pascal is the pressure when one newton of force is applied over one square meter.
