Surface Tension

The force acting on particles at the surface of a liquid

Real World Example

Imagine trying to squeeze in a crowded elevator where everyone is trying to avoid touching each other. This is similar to surface tension, where molecules at the surface of a liquid are tightly packed, trying to minimize contact with the air above. Just as people in the elevator press closer together to maintain personal space, the surface molecules pull inward, creating a "skin" on the liquid that resists external forces.
