Pressure

Force exerted per unit area

Real World Example

Imagine trying to hang a picture on a wall using a thumbtack but the tack keeps bending instead of going in. This is similar to how pressure works because, just as the effectiveness of the thumbtack depends on the force applied over its small surface area, pressure is defined as the force exerted per unit area. The sharp point of the tack represents a small area, allowing the force from your hand to concentrate and increase pressure, making it easier to penetrate the wall, just like how a small area can amplify the effect of a given force in the concept of pressure.
