Intensive Property

A property independent of the amount of matter in a sample. e.g. density, temperature

Real World Example

Imagine trying to fit into your favorite pair of jeans, regardless of whether you just washed them or wore them for a week. This is similar to intensive properties because no matter how much fabric is in the jeans or how worn they are, their fit (like density and temperature) doesn’t depend on the amount of fabric. Just as your jeans fit you the same regardless of how much they've been worn or stretched, intensive properties remain constant regardless of the sample size or amount of matter present.
