Element

A substance made of one type of atom that cannot be broken down chemically
Real World Example
Imagine trying to separate a single color out of a paint that is entirely red. Just like the paint, which is made up of only red pigment and can't be divided into other colors, an element is a pure substance composed of only one type of atom that can't be chemically broken down. In this analogy, the red paint represents an element, and just as you can't extract any other color from it, you can't extract a different substance from an element because it's made entirely of just one kind of atom.
