A biome with very little rainfall or plant life

Real World Example

Imagine trying to prepare a meal with an almost empty pantry, where you have very few ingredients to work with. This situation is similar to a desert biome, where there is very little rainfall and sparse plant life. Just like how you have to creatively make do with limited ingredients to create a meal, life in the desert must adapt to survive with the minimal resources available—water and vegetation are as scarce in the desert as ingredients are in your pantry.
