Cells using oxygen to produce energy from food
Real World Example
Imagine trying to make a cup of coffee in the morning, but you need hot water to do it. This is similar to how cells use oxygen to extract energy from food, just like you need hot water to extract flavor from coffee beans. In this analogy, the coffee maker is like the cell, the coffee beans are like the food molecules, the hot water represents oxygen, and the resulting cup of coffee is the energy produced; without the hot water (oxygen), you can't make a satisfying cup of coffee (energy).
