Activation Energy

Activation Energy Definition | Radience Gaming

The minimum energy needed to start a chemical reaction

Real World Example

Imagine trying to push a heavy boulder up a hill to get it rolling down the other side. This initial effort to push the boulder over the hill is similar to the concept of activation energy in chemistry. Just as you need to exert a certain amount of force to start the boulder moving, a chemical reaction requires a minimum amount of energy—called activation energy—to begin the process, allowing the reaction to proceed on its own once it's started.
