Pitch

How high or low a sound is, as determined by its frequency

Real World Example

Imagine trying to choose a setting on a shower faucet to get the perfect water temperature. Adjusting the faucet is similar to how we perceive the pitch of a sound based on its frequency. Just as turning the faucet changes the temperature from cold to hot, changing the frequency alters the pitch from low to high. In this analogy, the faucet handle represents the frequency, and the resulting water temperature represents the pitch we hear, illustrating how both adjustments lead to a change in an outcome that we can sense.
