Half-life

The time it takes for half the atoms of a radioactive isotope to decay
Real World Example
Imagine you're dealing with a pile of laundry that seems to never get done because more clothes keep getting added. This situation is similar to the concept of half-life in that just as you manage to fold and put away half of the laundry, more clothes seem to appear, making it feel like the task is never truly complete. In both scenarios, whether it's folding laundry or waiting for radioactive atoms to decay, there's a constant cycle where a portion of the task or material diminishes, but it never fully disappears, always leaving you with more to tackle, much like how after each half-life, half of the remaining radioactive atoms still need to decay.
