The theory that Earth's crust is made of moving plates
Real World Example
Imagine trying to fit a large puzzle on a small table at home, where pieces sometimes slide around as you add new ones. Just like those puzzle pieces, the Earth's crust is made up of several large pieces, or "plates," that move and shift over time. The way these puzzle pieces sometimes collide, separate, or slide past one another mirrors how tectonic plates interact, causing earthquakes, volcanic activity, and the creation of mountains on our planet's surface.
