The transfer of heat energy between two objects through direct contact
Real World Example
Have you ever noticed how quickly a cold spoon becomes warm when you stir a hot cup of coffee? This is similar to how heat is transferred through conduction, where energy moves from the hotter coffee to the colder spoon through direct contact. Just like how the spoon becomes warm by touching the hot coffee, in conduction, heat energy flows from a warmer object to a cooler one when they are in direct contact, warming the cooler object in the process.
