Static Electricity

The electric charge that builds up on an object
Real World Example
Imagine you're trying to carry a big load of groceries in your arms and a few items start to slip out because there's just too much to handle. This scenario is similar to how static electricity builds up on an object when it accumulates more electric charge than it can hold. Just as your arms can only hold so many groceries before they start to spill, an object can only hold so much electric charge before it discharges, often resulting in a little zap or spark.
