Imagine a neighborhood bakery that suddenly stops receiving deliveries of flour. This is similar to the concept of extinction because, like the bakery, a species can't survive without its essential resources. Just as the bakery can't function without flour, leading to its closure, a species can't continue to exist without the necessary conditions for survival, leading to the death of all its members.
