Overfishing

The removal of a fish from water at a rate that they cannot replenish

Real World Example

Imagine trying to withdraw money from your bank account faster than your paycheck is deposited. Just like overfishing, where fish are caught faster than they can reproduce, this leads to an unsustainable situation where resources are depleted faster than they can be replenished. In both cases, whether it's the bank account or the fish population, balance is key to maintaining a sustainable resource – if withdrawals (or fishing) exceed deposits (or fish reproduction), you'll eventually end up with nothing left.
