The process of generating a current by moving a conductor through a magnetic field
Real World Example
Imagine trying to fill a bucket with water by moving it under a flowing stream. Just as moving the bucket through the stream allows water to flow into it, moving a conductor through a magnetic field induces an electric current within it. In this analogy, the bucket is like the conductor, the stream represents the magnetic field, and the water that fills the bucket is akin to the electric current generated; both processes require motion to transfer energy from one form to another.
