Lunar Eclipse

Occurs when Earth’s shadow falls on the moon

Real World Example

Imagine you're at a crowded movie theater, trying to watch the screen, but someone unexpectedly stands up in front of you, blocking your view. In a similar way, during a lunar eclipse, the Earth positions itself directly between the sun and the moon, blocking the sun's light and casting its shadow on the moon. Just like the person in the theater interrupts your view of the screen, Earth interrupts the sunlight from reaching the moon, causing the lunar eclipse.
