Latitude

The distance in degrees north or south of the equator
Real World Example
Imagine you're trying to find a specific aisle in a grocery store, where each aisle is labeled with a number starting from the entrance. This is similar to how latitude works in determining a location on Earth, where the equator serves as the starting point, much like the entrance of the store. Just as you move a certain number of aisles away from the entrance to find what you need, latitude measures how far north or south a location is from the equator, using degrees instead of aisle numbers.
