Pitch

How high or low a sound is, as determined by its frequency
Real World Example
Imagine you're trying to find a radio station while driving, and you keep turning the dial to get a clearer signal. Just as turning the dial changes the station you're listening to, altering the frequency of a sound changes its pitch, making it higher or lower. In both cases, the frequency acts like the station's signal on the dial: a higher frequency corresponds to a higher pitch, much like tuning to a different spot on the radio dial tunes you into a different station.
