Codominance

A condition where both alleles are expressed in a phenotype

Real World Example

Imagine you're at a party where two different music playlists are playing simultaneously in the same room, and you can clearly hear both the pop hits and the classical symphonies. This scenario is similar to codominance in genetics, where both alleles contribute equally and distinctly to the organism's phenotype, much like how both playlists contribute to the overall sound environment. Just as you can distinctly hear both types of music without one overpowering the other, in codominance, both alleles are fully and separately expressed in the phenotype, creating a situation where neither is dominant over the other.
