Mid Ocean Ridge

A long mountain range on the seafloor formed by lava eruptions through Earth’s crust
Real World Example
Imagine you're baking a loaf of bread, and as it rises, a split forms along the top, revealing the soft dough inside. This is similar to what happens at a mid-ocean ridge, where the Earth's crust splits and molten rock (lava) rises to create a new mountain range on the seafloor. Just like the crack in the bread allows the dough to expand and form a ridge, the Earth's crust separates, allowing magma to surface and build new land, continuously shaping the ocean floor.
