A measure of how much solute will dissolve in a solvent
Real World Example
Imagine trying to squeeze all your clothes into a suitcase for a long trip. Just like a suitcase has a limit to how many clothes it can hold before it won't close, a solvent has a limit to how much solute it can dissolve. The suitcase represents the solvent, the clothes represent the solute, and the point at which no more clothes can fit is similar to the maximum solubility, where no more solute can dissolve in the solvent.
