Real World Example

Imagine trying to pack a suitcase for a trip, and you have to decide what to take with you. Just like how each item in your suitcase takes up space and adds weight, matter is anything that occupies space and has mass. Each piece of clothing or object in your suitcase represents a piece of matter, with its volume being the space it takes up in your bag and its mass being the weight it contributes to the overall luggage.
