Mycorrhiza

A symbiotic relationship where a fungus and a plant’s roots supply each other nutrients
Real World Example
Imagine you're at a potluck dinner, but you forgot to bring a dish, and you’re really hungry. Luckily, you find a friend who brought extra food and is willing to share with you, while you promise to help them clean up afterward. This is similar to the mycorrhizal relationship where the fungus provides the plant roots with nutrients like phosphorus, while the plant supplies the fungus with carbohydrates derived from photosynthesis. Just like how you and your friend exchange food for help, the plant and fungus form a mutually beneficial partnership, each giving what the other needs to thrive.
