Real World Example

Imagine attending a potluck dinner where everyone brings their own dish to share. Just like each dish at the potluck retains its unique flavor and texture, even when placed together on the same table, a mixture is a combination of substances where each component maintains its individual properties. The connection here is that, in both a potluck and a mixture, the individual parts coexist in the same space without losing their distinct characteristics—just as the potato salad doesn’t turn into the spaghetti, sugar in a mixture doesn’t lose its sweetness, nor does salt lose its saltiness.
